Calibrating Zebra Printer

Rolled Badges:

Pull the media guides open with your free hand and place the
media roll on the roll holders.
The printing surface needs to face up as it passes over the platen roller, which is the soft black roller at the tip of the printer.
Pull the media so that it extends out of the front of the printer.
Verify the roll turns freely and close the printer.
Please see the video attached to this article for a visual demonstration.

Wristband Badges:

You need to adjust the media guides to fit the narrow wristband roll.
Rotate the small green wheel on the inside of your printer towards you to narrow the media guide.
Place the writband roll on the roll holders.
The roll must not sit in the bottom of the media compartment.
Verify that the media's printing surface is facing up.
Close the printer. Press down until the cover snaps closed.

Fanfold Badges:

Fanfold media is folded in a zigzag pattern.
Printing on fanfold media requires you to adjust the media guides.
You can adjust by rolling the green thumb wheel on the inside of your printer.
Rotate the wheel away from you to open the guides wider.
Now insert the media through the open slot located in the back of the Zebra printer.
Feed the paper so that its printing surface will face up as it slides into the printer.
Run the media between the media guide and roll holders.
The media guides may need further adjustment to ensure the paper can be fed freely.
Close the printer. Press down until the cover snaps closed.
