Manually Connecting Printers

In the event of the printer not automatically connecting to the Boomset app, you can manually add the printer via its IP address. Please make sure your printer is properly plugged in, turned on and is fully loaded with badge stock. You will be printing the IP address from the printer.

Zebra Printer Manual Connection

On your Zebra printer, hold down the button on top of the device. The green light will flash once. Release the button after the first flash. The printer will then feed out a series of badges with the printer configuration. One of those badges will contain the IP information. Please take the IP address and enter it in the Printer Settings page of the Boomset app. The printer will then automatically be selected.

Brother Printer Manual Connection

On your Brother printer, push down on the “Cut” button located on top of the device. The printer will feed out a series of badges with the printer configuration. One of those badges will contain the IP information. Please take the IP address and enter it in the Printer Settings page of the Boomset app. The printer will then automatically be selected.

Zebra ZD500 Printer Manual Connection 

On your Zebra printer, press “Menu".
 
SETTINGS: Ensure the printer settings are set to “direct thermal” and “mark”. Turn the cutter off and then press “Menu” to go back.
 
TOOLS: Scroll to “manual calibrate” and press “start”. The printer will display the message “starting calibration”. Quickly press the pause button, which will then cause the printer to display the message “reloading”. Continue. Then, press pause again. Once this is completed the screen will display a “ready” message. Open the printer, pull back the paper and then close the printer.
 
Press “Menu”.
 
Open SETTINGS, turn the cutter back on. Press pause to ready the printer. The printer will then cut and feed one badge. The printer is now fully calibrated!
