Manually Connecting Printers

In the case that you do not automatically see the printer in the Printer Settings section of the app, you can always manually add the printer with an IP address. Please make sure that your printer is properly plugged in, turned on and has badge stock fully loaded. You will be printing the IP address from the printer.

Zebra Printer Manual Connection

On your Zebra printer, hold down the button on top of the device. The green light will flash once. Release the button after the first flash. The printer will then feed out a series of badges with the printer configuration. One of those badges will contain the IP information. Please take the IP address and enter it in the Printer Settings page of the Boomset app. The printer will automatically be selected.

Brother Printer Manual Connection

On your Brother printer, hold down the "Cut" button on top of the device. The printer will feed out a series of badges with the printer configuration. One of those badges will contain the IP information. Please take the IP address and enter it in the Printer Settings page of the Boomset app. The printer will automatically be selected.

Zebra ZD500 Printer Manual Connection

On your Zebra printer, click the Pause button (II), and then click the Home button on the bottom left of the print screen. Click the Settings button and move to Print Mode - Change Cutter to Tear Off. Click the Home button on the bottom left of the print screen, then click Tools and move to Head Close Action- Change to Calibrate. Open and close the printer. Click Pause button (II) and wait for the printer to calibrate. Once the calibration has been completed, you must undo the calibration setting that was just done. Click the Home button on the bottom left of the print screen, then click the Settings button and move to Print Mode - Change Tear Off to Cutter. Click the Home button on the bottom left of the print screen, then click Tools button and move to Head Close Action and change from Calibration to Feed. Finally, open and close the printer and click Pause button (II).
