Attendee app session settings

This article is intended to educate event organizers on how to enable certain features and functionalities in a session for virtual and hybrid events.

After you have created your event in Boomset and have created a session, you will need to go to Manage > Sessions and click on a session, and then select Attendee App Settings at the top.

Please note that after making ANY adjustments in this section, you will need to scroll to the bottom and click Update.

In this section of the session, you will be able to determine if your session will be a Live Stream, and what the source of the stream will be.

If your session is going to be Live Streamed, you will need to toggle this to On. 

You will then need to determine your streaming source for the session, which you can find the options for in the Hosting drop down.

If you choose Boomset, you will then need to determine your Video Quality and Screen Quality from the drop down. You can go to our dedicated article on Video Quality and Screen Quality to learn more.

If you select Vimeo, you will need to enter your Vimeo Meeting ID for the Vimeo file to be able to play in the session.

If you select External Link, enter in the URL of the link that you wish to have play in the session.

Lastly, if you select Embed, you will need to enter in the Embedded link for that to play as the session.

You will then need to toggle On or Off additional features and functionalities that you would like to have in your session.

If you are having polling in your session, you would need to toggle Session Poll to On and enter the URL of the polling application that you are using in order for this to show up in your session.

If you are using the Raise Hand functionality for this session, you would need to toggle on Raise Hand Enable. If this is being moderated by a speaker, you would need to toggle on Raise Hand Moderation as well.

If you would like to have Live Chat in this session, you would need to toggle on Online Chat. If you would like to clear the messages that are currently in the Live Chat in the session, you can select Delete All Messages.

You will also see an option for Questions and Answers, so if you would like to have attendees be able to ask speakers questions in this session, you would need to toggle On Questions and Answers.

If you would like to upload Documents to your session for your attendees to be able to download in your session, you will need to click Add New Document, and then click Select File to chose the file you wish to upload. You will then need to write in the Document Name, as this will be the name of the document that the attendees will see in the session and click Add.

Lastly, if you recorded your session, you will see the file recording available for download at the bottom of the Attendee App Settings for each individual session. After you click Generate Video, you will see this wording change to Generating.

Once the video has been generated, you will be able to click View Video to download the file recording. If you have multiple recordings, they will be listed in order of first recorded to last recorded.
